Regional borders are subjective, and no two maps agree on everything! For consistency in your submissions and searches, please use the map below as a key to the US Regions in our Region multi-select tag field (select all that apply).

For subdivisions of Canada, we suggest using provinces and territories in the State/Province/Territory (US or Canada) field.

CHAACo's location filter tools are currently geared toward the cultural heritage communities in the United States and Canada, but submissions of resources and jobs from elsewhere are welcome! Note the Country and Geographic Scope write-in fields, and look for the Region tag "Outside of United States and Canada".
